Poetry Reading — Friday, October 21

The Gnu’s Room is pleased to host poets Dan Morris and Richard Boada for a reading on Friday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Both Morris and Boada have recently published chapbooks and will be sharing work from those publications.

Dan Morris teaches English composition and world literature at Auburn University. His chapbook, Following the Day, was published by Pudding House Publications in 2007. His work has appeared in Poetry South, Red Rock Review, Rock and Sling, LitRag, and Xavier Review, among others. He is senior editor for the online poetry journal, Town Creek Poetry.

Richard Boada earned his PhD in Creative Writing from the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently the Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in Rhetoric Studies and Writing Center Coordinator at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He teaches Creative Writing, Literature, Composition, and Environmental Communications. He is the author of a chapbook, Archipelago Sinking (Finishing Line Press 2011), and his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Rhino, Crab Orchard Review, Third Coast, Southern California Review, Bayou Review, Hawaii Review, Yalobusha Review, Poetry East, Oyez Review, Reed Magazine, Louisville Review, and Rio Grande Review among others.
