Thanks for visiting The Gnu’s Room’s website! We’re a nonprofit bookstore and arts center located at 414 South Gay Street in Auburn, AL. The Gnu’s Room has more than 30,000 used books for sale (and some new books by local and regional authors). All of our revenue comes from books sales and donations.
Inside The Gnu’s Room is an independently owned coffee shop, Mama Mocha’s Coffee Emporium. You can have a cup of the best coffee in town while you peruse our shelves, then sit at one of our comfortable and well-lit tables while you read, work or study.
We’re more than a bookstore — we’re also an arts center. We offer book signings, live acoustic music, open mics, dance performances, art shows and more. Take a look at our calendar for a full listing of our upcoming events.
